Biography
Dr. Anwar A. Bhuiyan received his B.Sc (Hons) degree and M.Sc degree
in 1983 and 1986 respectively from Dhaka University (Bangladesh). He
obtained his M.S degree in 1994 from University of Louisiana at Monroe
and a Ph.D degree in 1999 from Marquette University (Milwaukee, WI).
His interest in solar photocatalyst and resonance Raman spectroscopy
led him to a postdoctoral position at the University of California-Riverside.
He joined the faculty at Arkansas Tech University in August 2001 after
spending two years doing postdoctoral research. Dr. Bhuiyan's research
deals with the development and spectroscopic characterization of solar
photocatalysts and the development of new methods for the determination
of pesticide residues from environmental samples.
