School/Department Service
Developed a
required hazardous
communication and new employee training program to comply with OSHA
regulations, and provide initial training for all employees of the School of Physical and Life Sciences. Developed a web page in order to more easily
implement the required annual re-qualification for employees.
Maintain
qualifications as a
Hazardous Material technician, also serving on ATU Emergency
Preparedness Task
Force, helping in the development of the campus wide Emergency
Operations Plan.
Developed
and maintain the
inventory control system, make all purchases for the department,
conduct annual
equipment inventory, responsible for disposal of all equipment and the
controlled and documented disposal of all chemicals.
Consistently provides support to
chemistry, physics and geology by performing repair and maintenance to
various
instruments and equipment, resulting in significant savings.
Provided large savings of funds
by acquiring needed supplies, instruments and equipment from various
other
avenues, such as federal surplus property assets and private agencies.
Conduct field trips for
chemistry students to local industry laboratories.
